1.  Tour the State Capitol
    Completed in 1888, the Capitol of Texas is one of the most beloved landmarks in   the Lone Star State. Guided tours begin every 15 minutes from the south entrance foyer weekdays 8:30am - 4:30pm and every 30 minutes or on weekends,
9:30am - 4:30pm.

2.    LBJ Library and Museum
       Experience life as it played out during the days of the Lyndon B. Johnson presidency.  The museum is located on the University of Texas campus. Open daily,  9:00am - 5:00pm (except Christmas).

3.   Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum
      Relive the pages of Texas history with interactive exhibits, artifacts, an IMAX theatre and the Texas Spirit Theatre. Open M-S, 9:00am - 6:00pm and Sun 12-6.

4.    Congress Avenue Bats
        Enjoy the spectacle of the largest urban bat colony in North America, as 1.5 million Mexican free-tailed bats depart nightly at sunset, April through October, from beneath the bridge.  FREE

5.     Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center
     
 
See the natural beauty of the Texas Hill Country up-close in the planting areas, wildflower meadows, exhibits and from an observation tower. Pay homage to the former First Lady's devotion to native landscaping and preservation. Open Tues - Sun, 9:00am - 5:30pm,  Mondays starting Mar 18 - Apr 30, 9am - 5:30pm. 512-292-4200
